The founders of Awana derived the name from the first letters of "Approved workmen are not ashamed" as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.
History of Cubbies
Launched in the 1980s, Awana Cubbies was created to introduce preschoolers to God’s Word through fun, age-appropriate activities. Building on Awana’s 1941 foundation, Cubbies fosters early faith in over 61,000 churches worldwide.
Program Details
Preschoolers love their Cubbies club meetings, whether it’s the fun puppets, exciting games, or time with friends. At Story Time each week, they learn about God’s love, His Word, and His Son, Jesus Christ, the promised Savior. Non-competitive games reinforce lesson themes and build excitement.
